My Handmade Mad Hatters Wedding

After a long time of no posts here are a few creations I made for my wedding back in the summer. The wedding had a slight Mad Hatters Tea Party theme so guests wore suitable attire (my brother who gave me away wore a white rabbit outfit!). Wild flowers were arranged in teapots and I made my bouquet and all button holes from vintage buttons and beads.

Ofcourse all invitations and favours were handmade too as well as lots of other details that probably went unnoticed on the day!

Button Necklace

You can never have too many buttons! Here is a necklace I made using a wire neck hoop, buttons, beads, wire and ribbon. I have jars and jars full of buttons so watch this space for more creations!

Wonderful Wonderland Invitations

I just LOVE these Alice in Wonderland themed invitations created by Viva la Violette. There are several magical designs to choose from, I had to buy a sample of all of them! Please visit her Etsy shop for lots of other delightful stationery, I've got my heart set on a custom silhouette print.

Recycled Jar Terrarium

Terrariums seem to be all the rage at the moment, a miniature living landscape all of your own. They are so quick and easy to make I just had a to have a go. So meet Mabel enjoying her new home, doesn’t she look happy relaxing on the moss. The moss simply needs a few drops of water now and again, if you see condensation building up in the jar you just need to take the lid off for a few hours until it clears.

Button Bouquet

Here is an alternative bouquet I'm creating for my wedding in a few weeks. It's made from vintage buttons, beads, pearls and lace. So far I've only made around 20 stems, still a lot more to make so the photo is just a taster of the finished bouquet.
I will also be making button holes in the same style for the gentlemen guests, photos coming soon!
